my humble caramel...

hehehe,actually im thrilled that someone finally asked for a recipe,from me of all the people,LOL!! im not a good cook,seriously!! i never,EVER tasted my cooking when im done with the cooking...tros makan jek,if sedap - sedap le...if not,well...juz suck it up!! heheh...

anyway,here's the recipe...its so simple,i bet u dont even need it after one try...seriously...

INGREDIENTS :
2 tins evaporated milk
175g brown sugar
20g castor sugar
4 eggs
1 t/spoon vanilla essence

METHOD :
First - caramelize the brown sugar,add a lil' water (about 1/3 of a cup).stir n pour into a dish and set aside.

Second - beat castor sugar and eggs together.then,sieve the mixture.add evaporated milk n vanilla essence.stir well.

Third - pour mixture into the dish (the one with the caramel) n steam on high heat until it sets,bout 45mins. (tip:insert a fork.and if the fork came out clean,then its done..easy peazy)

Four - when done,invert onto serving dish n serve according to ur liking,i.e, hot or cold...

so,dear...try it out...n sukses ya,hehehe...let me know the result n the pic as well...

early this mornin,my darling ben came to me n asked whether i can made him his fav dessert - caramel...of coz darling,anything for u,lol....

i know it doesnt look gorgeous,but the taste surpasses all the imperfections.... ^__^ but before u people start to spread the rumour,of coz im fasting ...but hell ya it taste good,like always... ;p

anyway,its in the fridge now...getting ready for berbuke...

do like we do...strelizing the toys,peoples!! LOL!! ....n mind u,this is only half of my two munchkin's acquisition,more like the first phase...second phase will be done later,when we have the time n the desire to do so...amat letih,i tell u...first,we have to sort the toys - phlush toys,batt operated,cars...u name it...since my hand was not accustomed for the dipping n scrubbing in the dettol's water,my darling ben was up to the challenge...which leave me settling the phlush toys with the disinfectant spray...

we even took this chance to get rid some of they toys,i.e, broken or what not...but of coz with the adlan's consensus,hishhh...it was his anyway,most of it...

our two lil' helper...or more like the decision maker...

now the germs-free toys...

he refused to take a nap today...dunno y...ever after a naptime story,he's still wide awake...so i juz let him do whatever he wants,without making so much noise of coz,since adia is fast asleep...that girl,she's a sleepyhead...juz hand her the milk bottle,bobok her a bit...voila!! she's in a deep sleep,pronto...

hope he wont get sleepy during his qira'ati class,hmmm...

she's an angel...

last nite i went for terawih,after being absent for almost three years ...last time was when im pregnant with adia...so,last nite was a bit like a comeback,hehhehe...thanx to my darling ben whose being considerate to let me have some feels of ramadhan...tq,daddy..


but im not alone...i went with this gal....

she's such an angel,i tell u!!...im a bit sceptical at first, for i know she can scream on top of her lung if she want something...but last nite,she's tunggang terbalik ruku' n sujud...n whenever she wanna say something,she will wait till im finish,n whisper to my ear,which leave me surprised with her action...im flabbergasted!! she did everything...from solat sunat,isya' ,followed by terawih (but she stopped at 3rd raka'at to drink her milk - fyi,i did bring her milk bottle,in case...) ...then continued at 7th raka'at till its over...which also includes witir,mind u...pergh!! she dont even complained about the telekung that she's wearing...alhamdulillah,worth all my sweats making them for her...

n all the makcik2 was totally awed with her best behaviour,little that they knew,im included!! i guess,we can never under estimate our kids,ever...coz they will always surprised us,in so many ways...

so,to my gal,thanx for being such an angel...n let mommy performed my terawih in peace...XOXO...maybe there'll be more nite for us,insyaAllah...

today's naptime story is "the gingerbread man" - adlan's fav...he picked this one...n as for adia,she juz follow suite...tara kesah punye....easy huh?? not too soon to judge her,heheh..for she will forced me or ben to read for her,her fav book "the little mermaid" - two or three times in one go,perghhh...easy? nooo....LOL!

anyway,once he woke up,he said he's hungry...so,when i asked him what do u wanna eat,he said gingerbread man right away...haiyooo!!...luckily we got this ginger cookies fr pepperidge farm on the shelve, it shapes like his gingerbread man - minus the eyes,mouth n buttons of coz...but,he's fine with it...

so,peoples...here is what my son have for tea - a gingerbread man...n his sustagen milk,LOL!! good combination eyy?



thanx to my blog hopping hobbies,i found an interesting site (kudos to lanostzz...) about various shapes of cookie cutter (that also can be used as a bread cutter,cool...) but yet to come with a decision - rambang mate okeyy...will post on it once ive made up my mind...as a mother to my two fussy eater,ive to try everything to made them feels like eating ( to stimulate their eating appetite,sort of...) n i tell u it aint easy,phewww...but im trying,still...

since im still in my malas mode (tahap dewa nye nih,aduuhhh...) ...so,i'll juz upload all d pics from various places n activities that we did (some of it laaaa...u dont expect me to carry my cute lil' camera all over d places aight?? i'll ended up loooking like a dork!! susshhh...)

anyway,first stop,our short getaway...it was totally fun,we had a blast!! swim,swim,swim n swim (tak hengatttt...)...till all of us had runny nose,red eyed,n gradually developed fever,which later get us all sick,...well,serves us right,LOL!!...

but,fret not!! lucky us,ive my momma coming over n looked over us...but as usual,we all recovered in such a fast pace (except for my ben,who is still coughing till now...) n managed to take momma n my auntie jalan2 kota melaka...even tho it juz a short visit,im happy still...


then,we went for a boat ride aka river cruise at taman rempah,somewhere near banda hilir....little that i know,my auntie enjoyed the ride so much,hehehe,very sentimental kot...unlike my boy,whose doze off the whole ride,not really his thing i guess...


then,after my momma n my auntie went back to sp,we managed to peek around the expo hari peladang n penternak (that was held at MITC a week before,but dont feel the urged to go until the last day of the exhibition,aparaaa kan?? ) since its the last day of the exhibition,this is what left for us...hmmm,well,better than nothing aight?? LOL!!

in the mean time,i get to finish my lil' gal's lil' telekong...impressive ey? hehehhe,at first i kinda have a doubt whether i can pull this off,for ive no experience in making one before n given that i did not have any formal training on how to make one...its totally trial n error nye keje nih,gamble jekk...but,voila!! it looks like a telekong to me,dont u think?

finally,on last thursday we went to this newly open go-cart's circuit to cheer for our hero,LOL!! ...my darling ben of coz,n few of his mates....juz to let out some steam,before ramadhan i assume...n d munchkins did their best to cheer for daddy,even tho i doubt that ben would hear them,what with the roars of the engine....but,they keep on cheering...a loyal supporters i must say...

waarrghhh!! finally...get a round to finish it in juz one simple post...pat on my back...hehehhe...

ramadhan approaching fast...feels like we juz celebrated last year's raya...
but,alhamdulillah,ive given a chance to experience it yet again,syukur...

still in my malas mode,n given that my broadband's connection still unstable (duuh!! it aint new to me ...)...i'd better off now...will update more,later...

last week,all of us was unwell....

my darling ben has been coughing for almost two weeks now,tried everything...dah berbotol2 dah ubat batuk ditelan,but to no avail...

then,followed by adia - she had a runny nose n slightly fever...

later,its adlan's turn..he had a very high fever,akin to the previous one that had him admitted at pantai,poor my 'snake eye'...

last but not least,yours truly...down with high fever as well,n a terrible headache that feels like a ticking bomb waiting to blow up...arghh...sian kann??

i was devastated of coz,knowing that my ben n munchkins need me to look after them but i cant even sit straight!! how to help laaaa weiii?? sedey wooo...luckily we have some back up,its when my momma came around,heaven!! bes giler,i tell u...even my mak chak tagged along,double thumbs up!! woooohooo!! so now we're all back to being ourselves,so they're back to their cribs as well..waaaaa!! anyway,thanx a lot ma,luv u,muahsss muahssss....n not forgetting my mak chak,ma acih la banyak2....boley demam selalu nih,hehehhe...

im done with my book ...too soon? u think? well,i dont...i can finish a book (depending on how good is the book) in less than two days,prior to munchkins era...but now,my time are very limited...but i guess im doing good,still...

all in all,the book was really good n im glad when i got to finish it...coz from the day i started with the book,i cant wait to read more,n more...till i finished it today...actually,i was expecting more from her,as usual...upon reading 'the gift',i felt that it has that similarity with her previous book - 'if you could see me now' - another angel-like story,but with a different twist,of coz n this one has a sad ending...which makes it a far cry than the previous one...im a bit unhappy with the ending...well,typical me,,i like it to be a happy ending (yeah,yeah...call me names... ;p ) or better yet,a typical cliche' ending...something like..."n they all lived hapily ever after ..." but im loving it to bits!! told ya i'll be biased!! what can i say,im a hardcore fan of her's...boo me...duuuh!! like i care... ;p LOL!!

anyway,we went to the cinema today,rite after having our bf...coz adlan make a fussed about the promised that i made to him earlier this week...mind you,it aint my fault actually...the mall has been closed for three days,due to flood - caused by the heavy downpour...so,to shut his tiny lil' mouth,we dragged ourselves to the mall...with face mask on them,juz to be on the safe side...n went to see G.I Joe...he was torn between that,or Alien on the Attic...but after a minie-miny-minie-moo,he agreed on G.I Joe...huh,like we dont know he will end up on that one ;p ...but as a good parent (we are,right ben?? heheheh...) we juz play along with him...easy that way...less drama,i must say...

and as for my gal,she did something for herself today...which is renewing her personal record,i.e. sleep all thru the movie....perghhh!! hebat btol minah nie...selambe jek tido even with those loud sound effect...aint she's great??

then,we had lunch,more like brunch...before heading home...so thats it people,is the story of my weekend...looking forward for tomorrow...psssttt,its a secret!! ....hahahah...but,will let u know once it is materialised...n by then,it'll be a secret no more...so,crossed ur fingers for me,will ya??

last nite,ive made a promise to adlan to take him to the cinema today,rite after school...for daddy will be busy till nite...haishhh,poor ben...well,what to do...he's switching to work mode,pronto...

its pouring heavily today,from morning...when i reached the school,adlan was excitedly waiting for me...then,we went straight to melaka mall,coz its d nearest cinema n i dare not putting myself on a risk by venturing to banda hilir when its still raining,which the traffic will definitely at its worst....its only 10 minutes drive from adlan's school to melaka mall...i drove straight to the car park,parked my car n about to let ourself out ...when i was told by one of the many peoples standing there in their umbrella,taking shades from the rain,that the mall was closed!! huh??!! then only it strucked me ...the mall was surrounded with water...it was flooded!! seriously!! somehow,it looks clearly to me that it looks more like an island...iskkk....so,no movie today...

ive told adlan that we have to cancel the movie,n suddenly he's giving me the long face...merajuk le,what else?? iskk,typical adlan,..well,to coax him,i took them to KFC for lunch...n then to popular,to get some book...luckily,my baits paid off...for i found something for myself too...its none other than my long awaited book,from none other than my all time favourite author,cecelia ahern of coz...wooohooo!!! heheheh...im over the moon!! it aint easy to get a new book this quick here in malacca...i wonder,how long has the book been in the market?? im always left behind...hmmm..anyway,i own it now... ;p

n of coz,something for the munchkins as well...adlan has grew fond reading books,rather than playing games,to my delight...but once he's done with the book,he's back to his games...aiyooo...thats why ive to load him with new book,to keeps him away from the games,for he's spending TOO much time with that thing...n as for adia,well actually she cant read yet...its either me or ben that has to read to her,she insisted!! talks about control freaks,eyy??....

seems like the avillion story shall have to wait...for im going to let myself into the books,n nothing else...i will talk to the world once im done,poyo kan?? with these two munchkins around,i can only read once they're off to bed...indeed...

as of now,its only me n adlan has been out of bed...the other two,as usual laaaa...esp my gal,she's not a mornin' person...so,dont expect her to be the first person to wake up...haiyoooo,how la anak dara??....n plus today's weather (kinda gloomy,courtesy of last nite heavy downpour ...) lets juz assume,they'll be in bed longer than the norm...

since im done with the packing last nite (macam leeee nk g jawooohhh...poyosss!! ...) ive plenty of time for myself,my me time...before the chaos starts...i luv it when im kinda have all d time to myself,esp in d mornin...when my darling ben n adlan off to work n school,n adia still in bed,its when im in my elements...listening to some music, reading books (but rite now,im done with my tony parson's...need to look for a new reading materials which kinda hard to find here in malacca...hmmm,i wonder y...all d books here,lets juz say "boring"...unlike miri...even popular draws a big crowd,go figure...) or i'll juz browsing the tv programs....totally cherished the quiteness,which in my case its hard to find...unless when the munchkins off to bed at nite n left me n my darling ben doing pretty much what we like,i.e. ben can watch his sport channel,whilst yours truly glued in front of the lappy,heaven!! or sometimes we juz talks,without interruption,mind u... ^__^ ...its aint easy ok to find time only for both of us but we're trying our hard to make an effort,always!!...

we're not one of the 'lucky' couple who can juz leave their kiddos with someone n go for an escapade,juz the two of us,NOPE!! our munchkins will never,i repeat NEVER let ourselves go anywhere without them...they refused to be left with their adorable grandparents,not even for a nite...so,where ever we go,the munchkins will go...maybe they're juz too attached to us ..well,since im not working n with ben's work here in malacca permitt him to spend more time at home,we become so closed to each other that sometimes make it hard to be apart...is it a good thing? or a good thing? LOL!! i refused to think of it as a bad thing,but only when ben n i dont getto spend much ti me together,alone,thats when i did the re-thinking...

but i always tell myself that,soon the time will come when our munchkins ready to be left with their grandparents n picture me n my darling ben spend a nite,somewhere,without the noise...rite now,efforts is all we need...no complaints!! always find ways...

so,in order to find ways,my darling ben has booked us a room ...jeng!jeng! some place thats totally gorgeous n romantic too...n we're going today....WITH THE MUNCHKINS,hahahhah... okeh le tuh...they're not craving for our attention all d time,only most of our times...sabarrr...

after a few chats (get-to-know session,coz i still dont know some of them,or is it most of them? iskkk...) n makan2,we went to another house...for this neighbour of ours had juz been discharged from IJN...pat on my back,hehhehe...i guess,when u lived in a community that sooo baguss like mine,u wont have the heart to be such an ignorance...im hopping that my setia alam's neighbours will be as nice as these peoples here...juz a wishful thinking...

then,after kebusanan,went to pahlawan mall for makan2...

we're going to avillion tomorrow, n im done with the packing,so efficient kan?? so,i can start my day with less headache...bijak bijak...so that we can head off to PD rite after breakfast...nice!! cant wait...
